According to the Associated Press, an official confirmation to offer availability of iPad, on 3rd October has been made by the target. The 2nd biggest discount chain of the nation told that they will sell tablet-computers having touch screen interface on Oct,3.iPad also comes under 5% discount of retailers for store credit-card holders and is going to be introduced on 17, October. Target is hopping combination of hit devices and discount should attract the shoppers at the time of holidays.
Target is going to be the biggest retail chain to hold the iPad. While discussing the issue concerning Apple’s lineup for iPad, author of the article appears quite confused by claiming that Target is going to provide 4 models in which the 3 capacities will be Wi-Fi-only for iPad and “Wi-Fi+3G model”. Apple will obviously provide 3G-capable iPad available in the same 3 capacities like the models of Wi-Fi-only.
Screenshots from the inventory system that has been surfaced earlier hints that all the six models of the iPad are going to be available and it also has been reported by the Reuters that these models will be released officially on 2nd October. This launch is going to make the Target, 4th vendor in selling iPad in United States, along with apple, micro Center and Best Buy. In US, Target is one of the discount chain located aside the coasts and the areas not having Apple Store but only the Target is also quite large in number.
Update: similarly the media sources are saying that Target will provide only four models for the iPad, so it seems that the Target will offer only one 3G-capable model having unknown capacity. Rumor of the sale of iPad on October 2nd by Target is true. Correction has been made by Associated Press in the article to hint that six models of iPad are will be offered.
