Get efficient Office support with iPad’s iWork

On Wednesday apple has released updates for three of its iWork apps basically for iPad. The 1.2 version of Numbers, pages and keynote shows improvements to file transferring, format support, ability of transferring files from the remote servers as well as supports export of files in file formats that are compatible with MS office. These three apps provide support for the transfer of documents and files from iDisk which is a part of Apple’s online service i.e. MobileMe. As per the Apple’s release notes for products, these apps are capable of sending files to the server while WebDav is running.

The pages already have the ability of sharing files in MS Word DOC format. On behalf of this specific update, the rest two apps further added the capacity to export files in MS-compatible formats. Numbers 1.2 have the ability to export spreadsheets to XLS format of MS Excel and 1.2 keynotes can export slideshow presentations in PPT format of MS PowerPoint. While importing XLS, PPT and DOC all these apps tell us with excessive pride about its reliability and improved speed.

Other features of this version are ability to ungroup and group objects as well as unfold comma-separated files of other apps along with mails. The release notes of Apple also include bug fixes and various other improvements. Other features includes audio support while importing presentations from on Mac from Keynote ’09, ability to ungroup and group objects and latest animations like Spin, Lens Flare, Wipe and Swoosh. Pages 1.2 also owns features like object ungrouping and grouping, unfolding file attachments and displaying a word count option for documents.

Updates: The updates of iWork are going to be available on App Stores immediately.
